A living malfunction, Grounder was intended to be an identical twin brother to Scratch as part of a two-robot squad of Sonic bounty hunters ( The Super Special Sonic Search & Smash Squad ). A pull of the wrong lever from Scratch however, led to Grounder coming out as a compact model with hundreds of gadgets & accessories ( & a VERY HIGH IQ of 25! )

Like his chicken-faced partner, Grounder's incredibley gullible, prone to falling for any disguise & trick that sounds even the least bit convincing. He would roll off a cliff if he was told that it would be of use to him ( & he has. )

Already coming out of the robot maker undone, Grounder is known for constantly falling apart, & though he doesn't seem to mind it too much, it annoys his universe's Robotnik a fair bit.

Now he's on a mission to prove his competence to his leader by destroying Sonic Prime!... Assuming his brother & the other villains don't get him first.
